Since I first learned about the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+Z keyboard short cuts in elementary school, I have been addicted to experimenting with new technologies that can improve productivity and innovation. It’s incredible to see a steady stream of new business products arrive into the mass market and bring exponential increases in productivity and innovation.
The risk associated with legacy information technology (IT) systems not meeting the Federal Government’s evolving needs is substantial and unacceptable. The costs are also significant with 78% of the $80 billion spent annually on Federal IT going toward maintaining existing systems, crowding out funding for modernization.
This era of agile development, rapid prototyping and the pervasiveness of “apps” on phones, tablets, and computers, means that the public now more than ever expects a higher level of service and support.
